Waiting for the Others to Arrive

I am in the music room at my house waiting for the other Misfits to arrive. The music room was just a 2nd bedroom with blue floor and the walls are white. It is the most quiet place in the whole house. I am working on my sax. My hair is blowing with a fan I have on the floor.

Then I heard a knock at the front door. I left the music room to answer the door. It was Pizzazz and Roxy at the door. Roxy found the couch and crashed on it. Pizzazz just looked around. “What’s up, Yank?” I asked her. “Nice place you got here, Jetta! She replied. “We should have a house warming party.” Roxy added, trying to be nice. I kind of liked it. “We can set it up later.” Pizzazz said.

“Ok, lets get down to business. Who wants to sign with Starlight Music?” I asked the other Misfits. “I do!” Roxy said. “I don’t know yet!!” Pizzazz yelled. “Well I do!! I said. “Jerrica has been very nice to us since the truce.” I continued.

OOC: If u want me to change it again i will!! sorry to thoughs who did not like my last post. I did not mean any harm.

On Jetta's couch
Roxy calmed her excitement for a moment and swiveled her head, looking about the room.

"Hey, wait a minute. Where's Stormer? We can't make any decisions without everybody here." Roxy fumbled in her jacket pocket for a stick of gum as the others carried on with the pros and cons of being signed to the Starlight House. She then leaned over to Jetta who was cleaning her saxophone.

"This is a nice place and all, but where's the phone?" Roxy asked as she stuch a new piece of gum in her mouth. Jetta, not wanting to even make contact with Roxy nodded in the direction of the kitchen. Removing herself from the couch, Roxy made her way into the kitchen, and found the phone on the breakfast bar. She picked up the reciever and dialed Roxy's car phone number. As it rang she opened the fridge and saw that it was completely empty. The phone on the other end kept ringing.

Stormer is never late. She thought. And since when does that goody-two-shoes ever leave the house without telling us? Something is up. Roxy thought about what she would say once Roxy picked up, IF she picked up. WHERE ARE YOU?!? Roxy would say.. but then paused and took in a breath.

Lately there has been a bit of tension between her and Stormer, well, between her and everyone really. Maybe she actually was as rude as Jetta says. Maybe she's been in such a negative mood because she's been causing the negativity all along! She thought of another aproach..

Hey Storm, we were just wondering where you were. Hmm, now that sounds TOO nice. And since when did I start calling Stormer 'Storm' for short? Ugh, its so much easier being rude. Especially when its what everyone expects. But now that I'm realizing that this 'me against the world' attitude doesnt apply now that I'm not living in the dumps back home... Her thoughts trailed off. She shuddered and focused again.

Maybe I can say, Stormer, we're all at Jetta's place. Thought you'd be here by now.. Yeah, that's neutral enough, I think. Just then she realized Stormers line was still ringing.

"Jesus, what the hell?!?" Roxy hung up the phone and slammed the fridge door shut.

[OCC: Hi guys, sorry I'm the random latecommer. I know this game has been inactive since 2009, but I'm a die hard fan and would love to get this thing going again! Good idea?? Yes, No, Maybe? :D]

Re: On Jetta's couch
((OOC: We can be random latecomers together))

"Forget her," Pizzazz said with a dismissive wave of her hand. "She'll turn up, she always does." She wasn't going to worry about when or if Stormer would show up; she had a lot of things she wanted to say, and just then she didn't want Stormer looking at her with that Sad and Lost Little Puppy look anyway, cause Pizzazz knew Stormer wasn't going to like what she was thinking at all.

"I've been thinking," she went on. "Remember when we first signed with that slimey weasel Raymond? Back when he still owned Starlight? First time we met," her lip curled in a sneer, "Jerrica Benton." She baredy looked at Jetta. "Not that'd you'd care, but pay attention, cause there's gonna be a test later."

Re: On Jetta's couch
Roxy plopped herself on Jetta's couch once again and curled both feet under her.

Pizzazz always had a plan, or some sort of scheme rattling around in her head. Roxy placed an elbow on her knee and rested her chin on her fist and asked, "What is it this time Pizzazz?" She tried to sound a bit more interested than she actually was, but it just seemed every plan they've had to ruffle Jem's feathers backfired. Somehow the situation seemed to fall in The Hologram's favor. "Whatever it is it better be good." Roxy huffed.

Re: On Jetta's couch
"I'm thinking, I don't like the idea of working for Jerrica Benton too much," Pizzazz said, steepling her fingers and pursing her lips. "She's a snotty bitch, and she looks down on us." She stood up, pacing the floor like a restless animal in a cage. "On the other hand, I wanna crush Eric Raymond into powder. Just grind him up until there's nothing left but a quivering shell of a man." She paused, smiling at the mental image she'd just conjured up. "He stole Misfit Music from us... just like he stole Starlight Music from Benton before."

Pizzazz paused, checking to see of Jetta and Roxy were following her line of thought.

Re: On Jetta's couch
Roxy leaned forward, smacking her gum. The furrow in her brow detected something was happening in that clunky head of hers. She despised Eric for stealing Misfits Music from them, but her hatred for Jerrica was much thicker.

"As much as I'd like to see Eric destroyed" Roxy began, "we need to figure out how to get our record label back first." Just then a snarly grin crept across her face. "Or maybe we can destroy him AND Jerrica at the same time. And in the processes, Misfit Music will be in our grasp!"

But before Roxy could continue her thought, Jetta's phone began to ring. Roxy cocked her head to one side and peered at Jetta. "Who would have this number already??" she asked, astonished.

[OOC: At this point, have The Stingers signed to the Misfits Music/Raymond Records/Stingers Sound yet?]

Re: On Jetta's couch
[OOC: Yuppers.]

"Whoever it is, they aren't important," Pizzazze snapped, turning a deadly glare on the phone for a moment before ignoring it. "Roxy, you are readin' my mind." She rested her hands on her hips, nose in the air and lips pursed. "But we're gonna have to be subtle, sneaky like, you understand?"

Because, irritatingly, there was now no way in hell Daddy was going to shell out enough cash for her to just buy what she wanted. Him selling his shares of Misfit Music to that slimey weasel Raymond had proved that beyond a shadow of a doubt. But that was just fine with Pizzazz; she'd show him that she could do this without his money.

Anyway, this way was gonna be way more fun.

"First of all, Stormer doesn't find out about any of this, caprice? Even if she'd go along without bitching about it, she'd end up blabbing to her little buddy Kimber."

Re: On Jetta's couch
She'd only half-heard the ringing phone a minute ago, lost as she was in her own mind. Stormer had been sitting at the piano bench again, where she'd been spending most of her free time these days, the empty halls of Pizzazz's mansion allowing the notes to echo freely. It was a rare occasion when all of the girls were out somewhere else, especially these days when there wasn't a studio to go to, and the scribbled and crossed-out notes on the stacks of staff paper around her bore mute testimony to the writers' block Stormer had been fighting for what felt like weeks now.

And then the phone had rung, jolting her out of her reverie, but she hadn't been fast enough to make it to the set in the hallway before the ringing stopped. Stormer paused for a moment, one hand hovering over the receiver. Who could that have been? Anyone, really... the business card Eric had given her the other day was burning a (metaphorical) hole in her pocket, but given everything, there was no way he'd be dumb enough to call here and risk Pizzazz or Roxy answering. No, it wouldn't have been Eric.

Playing a hunch, Stormer picked up the phone and dialed Jetta's new number. Maybe-? But the phone sounded without answer and she hung up after three rings with a small frown. So much for that idea. Oh well; whatever it was, if it was important, they would call back. Lost in her own world again, Stormer drifted back to the piano and the scattered paper evidence of her so-far resultless attempts to work.

Re: On Jetta's couch
[OOC: Probably about time to wrap this up and move in to a new post, if no one has any objections?]

Pizzazz stretched her hands above her head, looking thoughtful. "Daddy said he had a present for me, to make up for letting that slimey weasel take Misfit Music from us. I'm betting whatever it is, we can use it to get what's ours."

Her eyes wandered around Jetta's home, finally landing on a clock. "I'm supposed to get it tonight. My place tomorrow... late afternoon..." She should be up by then, yeah... "We start getting our revenge." She considered. "Stormer will be there, so remember, not one word."

She needed to find out if Stormer still wanted to join her little friend Kimber at Starlight. She might have changed her mind. If she had, then Pizzazz needed to alter her plans.

But she was gonna get hers. Oh yes.
